The Walt Disney Company announced today that its live-action remake of the animated classic Mulan is now expected to hit theaters on August 21.

The evening celebrates both Christmas and Hannukah, featuring holiday classics from Streisand's two Christmas albums, plus some of her biggest hits. The Walt Disney Company today announced applications are open for its first Disney Launchpad: Shorts Incubator. The program is a new opportunity for up to six (6) directors from underrepresented backgrounds to present diverse perspectives through the production of original, live-action short films for proposed initial exhibition on the upcoming streaming service Disney+. Directors will be paired with creative executive mentors from across The Walt Disney Company and challenged to create original films that celebrate the inaugural theme of “Discover” and align with the Disney brand values.

The cast and filmmakers of Disney's live-action adaptation "Aladdin," completed their Magic Carpet World Tour in Los Angeles yesterday with the film's star-studded world premiere at the El Capitan Theater on Hollywood Blvd. Will Smith, Mena Massoud, Naomi Scott, director Guy Ritchie and composer Alan Menken were joined by other cast and filmmakers and VIP guests including Helen Mirren and Darren Criss.

The one-night-only special event-billed as "Liza Minnelli and Michael Feinstein: In Conversation and Performance"-featured the award-winning singer, actress and stage superstar as, naturally, the night's main attraction, which had her singing (while seated) through a few classics while, in between, waxed nostalgic about her storied career and, of course, her famous parents, film icon Judy Garland and renowned director Vincente Minnelli.
