She has a voice as full-bodied as honey, with impeccable pitch and delicious taste in music. She put together a program of classy, often rueful tunes about days gone by, both hers and ours. As she points out, the beauty of calling a show YESTERDAYS is that you can sing anything written before today.

The ASCAP Foundation Alan and Marilyn Bergman Lyric Award is a new program established by the award-winning songwriting team, Alan Bergman and his late wife, Marilyn. The legendary duo wrote lyrics for film, stage and television for more than five decades, which earned them multiple Emmys, Grammys and three Oscars.

Among those in attendance at the event, sponsored in part by Verizon, were stars Tom Hanks, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, Cynthia Erivo and Luke Evans, along with Director/Writer/Producer Robert Zemeckis, Composers Alan Silvestri (Score and Original Songs) and Glen Ballard (Original Songs), and more. The critically acclaimed songstress and recording artist Marieann Meringolo will be joined by her longtime Musical  Director of 22 years, Doyle Newmyer. This concert marks Ms. Meringolo’s Los Angeles debut and  is the third stop on her international Spring 2022 Tour, which was put on hold in 2020 due to the pandemic. The 2022 Tour includes London, UK, New York, NY, Los Angeles, CA and Palm Springs, CA.
