Casting has been announced for the upcoming National Tour of THE PROM. Kaden Kearney (they/them)  will star as Emma, Kalyn West as Alyssa Green, Courtney Balan as Dee Dee Allen, Patrick Wetzel as Barry Glickman, Emily Borromeo as Angie Dickinson, Bud Weber as Trent Oliver, Sinclair Mitchell as Mr. Hawkins Ashanti J'Aria as Mrs. Greene, and Shavey Brown as Sheldon Saperstein.

The National Theatre today announces the on-sale dates of upcoming productions Trouble in Mind, Wuthering Heights and Small Island, as well as the return of daytime opening for visitors.

Today, a digital lottery for The Lehman Trilogy, the five-time Olivier nominated epic play by Stefano Massini and adapted by Ben Power, was announced ahead of the production’s first preview on Saturday, September 25. 

DPAC has announced the First National Tour of AIN’T TOO PROUD – THE LIFE AND TIMES OF THE TEMPTATIONS, the new Broadway smash hit musical will play DPAC December 7-12, 2021, as part of Truist Broadway’s new season.

Southern California high school students interested in the performing arts can now apply to be a part of The Music Center's Spotlight. Presented by TMC Arts, Spotlight provides performing arts scholarships and artistic development through arts experiences, auditions, feedback and mastery classes taught by professional artists and arts administrators, and awards more than $100,000 in scholarships each year.

Layton Williams and Bianca Del Rio will reprise their roles from the UK productions of EVERYBODY’S TALKING ABOUT JAMIE when the production comes to the Ahmanson beginning January 16th, 2022. Tickets are now on sale, and learn more about the show.

Layton Williams and Roy Haylock (also known as Bianca Del Rio, winner of “RuPaul’s Drag Race”) will reprise their roles in the hit West End musical “Everybody’s Talking About Jamie” when it makes its North American premiere at the Center Theatre Group / Ahmanson Theatre January 16 through February 20, 2022. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

Summertime fun continues as The Music Center launches The Music Center's Summer SoundWaves, a new outdoor music series that will take place on its Jerry Moss Plaza on two Saturday nights, August 21 and September 4, 2021.

Luis Alfaro, celebrated Chicano artist and MacArthur “genius” fellow, has joined Center Theatre Group as the newest Associate Artistic Director, announced Artistic Director Michael Ritchie and Managing Director/CEO Meghan Pressman.

The season opens with director Matthew Warchus' acclaimed A CHRISTMAS CAROL. The season includes the previously announced productions of THE LEHMAN TRILOGY, THE PROM, HADESTOWN and Dear Evan Hansen plus COME FROM AWAY

The UK Tour will recommence  its travels around the country, opening at The Lowry from 1 September and visiting 24 venues  including a four-week Christmas season in Brighton. The tour will also pause for six weeks in January  as the show opens in Los Angeles for a run at the prestigious Ahmanson Theatre. The UK tour will then  recommence playing to end May 2022. A second UK tour is planned for 2023. 

His work has been nominated for a Tony, an Emmy and a British Academy Award. His more than 35 plays have been seen in theatres around the world.

Michael Ritchie announced that he will retire as Artistic Director of Center Theatre Group on December 31, 2021. Having taken over the position from Founding Artistic Director Gordon Davidson in January, 2005, for more than 16 years, Ritchie has led one of the country’s largest nonprofit regional theatres, producing and presenting 266 productions.

Tony-nominees Alex Brightman and Rory O'Malley have signed on to a new NBC pilot from executive producer Demi Lovato.

The McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert, California announced today the appointment of Yvonne Bell as its new Vice President of Development and Tony Jilek-Guidry as Vice President of Marketing, Sales & Guest Services.  Both executives have begun their work with the McCallum Senior Management team.

The National Theatre's five-time Olivier Award nominated epic play, The Lehman Trilogy, is set to resume performances on Broadway on Saturday, September 25, with an opening night set for Thursday, October 14 at the Nederlander Theatre. General On-Sale tickets for The Lehman Trilogy will be available beginning Wednesday, June 9 at 10am ET.
