AIN'T TOO PROUD Comes to the Arsht Center in May

AIN'T TOO PROUD – THE LIFE AND TIMES OF THE TEMPTATIONS will make its anticipated Miami premiere at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County  from May 9 – 14, 2023.

Center Theatre Group Presents Community Events To Celebrate 1776

To celebrate the vibrancy and diversity of Los Angeles, nurture lifelong learning and human connection, and connect audiences with artists that are working at the highest levels of their own experience and craft, Center Theatre Group will host a variety of events tied to the direct-from-Broadway run of “1776” now playing at Center Theatre Group / Ahmanson Theatre through May 7, 2023 with an opening scheduled for April 12, 2023. 

Center Theatre Group's L.A. Writers' Workshop Selects New Cohort

Since 2005, more than 100 playwrights have had their work fostered through Center Theatre Group's L.A. Writers' Workshop and more are set to join. This new cohort for the L.A. Writers' Workshop includes six local playwrights who will spend a year researching and writing a new work with the feedback of their fellow writers and Center Theatre Group's artistic staff. These playwrights are Amy Berryman, Inda Craig-Galván, Isaac Gómez, Ramiz Monsef, christopher oscar peña, and Jasmine Sharma.

Jerry Torre's THE MARBLE FAUN OF GREY GARDENS Film Adaptation in the Works

A film adaptation of Jerry Torre and Tony Maietta's The Marble Faun of Grey Gardens memoir is in the works. Torre was named 'The Marble Faun' by Edith Ewing Bouvier Beale and her daughter Edith Bouvier Beale, mostly known as Big Edie and Little Edie through the iconic 1975 documentary, Grey Gardens.

LA Theatre Week 2023 Extends Through April 2

Given the incredible response from theatregoers and partners alike, the inaugural LA Theatre Week has extended through Sunday, April 2nd. This celebration of the performing arts offers tickets to more than 75 productions starting at just $20. Audiences are able to experience high-caliber shows at prices that democratize access to the best of LA culture.

Cast Announced For 1776 at The Ahmanson Theatre

The national tour of “1776” will make limited engagement stops at major cities across North America including its premiere in Los Angeles at Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre April 11 through May 7, 2023 with an opening night scheduled for April 12, 2023.
