The event is a comedic spelling bee between Broadway shows, hosted by the creators of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. This unique evening supports the free and tuition-assisted arts education programs of Broadway Bound Kids, whose mission is to inspire and empower young lives through the arts.
Mean Girls star, Taylor Louderman, will be on hand at (Le) Poisson Rouge this Monday, May 6, as the 'Comfort Counselor' for Broadway stars participating in the 4th Annual Broadway Bee, a fundraiser for Broadway Bound Kids. New spellers have been added to Broadway Bound Kids' fourth annual Broadway Bee set for Monday, May 6, 2019, at 7 PM at Le Poisson Rouge (158 Bleecker Street). It's a comedic adult spelling bee featuring cast members from hit Broadway shows who compete in a hilarious live event, while raising funds to provide a wide range of performing arts opportunities for NYC youth, regardless of their financial resources. Tickets are now available.
Hadestown, the new musical by Anais Mitchell, developed with Rachel Chavkin, will digitally release the show's Original Broadway Cast Recording on Friday, June 7. Additionally, the recording will be available as a double-CD with a release date to be announced.
