Review: Lyric Theatre Goes to THE PROM

Based on real events, THE PROM tells the story of a high schooler who wants to take her girlfriend to the prom. When the school board, PTA, and homophobic parents say no, a group of Broadway stars step in to give Emma and her date the prom of their dreams. Lyric's summer production runs through July 16th at the Civic Center Music Hall.
