11th Hour Theatre Company continues its 18-19 season with a Next Step Concert presentation of John Caird's, Stephen Schwartz's and Charles Lisanby's inspirational musical based on the Genesis story, Children of Eden.  11th Hour's Next Step Concert Series is now set to run over two weekends. This family friendly musical runs December 1-9. Official Media Opening is Sunday, December 2 at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $36 (which includes a $4 service fee). $19 tickets are available online for Students and Industry. The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica presents Amy Keys, on Friday, December 7 at 8:00pm. Amy Keys is the fourth evening of blackbox @ the edye, which transforms The Edye into a club featuring up-and-coming jazz and blues artists.  The series is curated and hosted by The Reverend Shawn Amos; he and his house band perform at select shows during the season as well.   

Grammy Award-winning legend and Beach Boys cofounder, Brian Wilson, returns to the Van Wezel on Tuesday, December 11 at 7:30 p.m.! Fans can expect to hear Beach Boy classics including "Little Saint Nick" and "The Man with all The Toys," as well as a selection of Brian's favorite Yuletide songs such as "Blue Christmas" and "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town."

August Wilson authored Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, Fences, Joe Turner's Come and Gone, The Piano Lesson, Two Trains Running, Seven Guitars, Jitney, King Hedley II, Gem of the Ocean, and Radio Golf. These works explore the heritage and experience of the descendants of Africans brought to North America, decade-by-decade over the course of the twentieth century, and together, they form a compilation entitled The American Century Cycle.

Pitch Perfect stars Rebel Wilson and Anna Camp shared photos that may hint at an upcoming fourth installment in the hit franchise.

Fans of Tim Burton's 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' will now have another chance to celebrate the film's 25th anniversary with Disney In Concert at the Hollywood Bowl on Sunday, October 28th at 7:30 pm. Los Angeles' reigning Pumpkin King, Danny Elfman, will return to the Hollywood Bowl performing his role of Jack Skellington singing live to film for a very special screening of Disney's timeless holiday classic on October 26, 27 & 28. The immersive experience will include live scenery projections, live orchestra, spectacular guest artists, and an all-star cast. Elfman will be joined by other original cast members including Catherine O'Hara (Sally) and Ken Page (Oogie Boogie) who headlined the opening production, which sold out two nights over Halloween weekend at the Hollywood Bowl in 2015 and returned for 3 nights in 2016 due to popular demand.

YouTube Announces Fall 2018 Slate and 2019 Projects

21CF Global Inclusion will begin its third annual Fox Directors Lab (FDL) program on the Fox Studio Lot in Los Angeles in August. FDL is a highly selective program designed to nurture experienced television directors who have diverse voices, backgrounds, and life experiences.  The goal of the program is to create a strong pipeline of well-rounded talent for potential staffing on Fox television series. 

Today at the Television Critics Association session, YouTube showcased its upcoming Original series and announced renewals for 2018/2019. From ambitious projects and compelling documentaries showcasing YouTube stars, to inventive comedies, bold dramas and live events featuring from some of the biggest names in Hollywood, YouTube continues to offer innovative programming that engages its audience. Since the launch of YouTube Originals in 2015, Original content has been viewed more than 650 million times.

School of Rock, the leader in performance-based music education, is hitting the road this summer. After a nationwide search for the top students in School of Rock's more than 200 schools and more than 30,000 students, seven AllStars bands have been chosen to tour the country and play a full-band show at top music venues throughout the U.S. The tours kick off at the end of July and will hit top cities including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and more.
