Cheryl Warfield

BIO

Cheryl Warfield is a Manhattan based opera singer, educator, producer, and arts administrator who has performed at the Metropolitan Opera, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Theater des Westins in Berlin, Germany, the Bregenz Festival in Austria and with the Rome Festival Opera in Italy. She is a well-known interpreter of Verdi and Puccini heroines, having performed many lead roles in the standard Italian repertory at the famed Amato Opera Theatre in New York’s East Village. On Broadway, she appeared in Hal Prince’s Tony Award winning revival of “Showboat.”


Cheryl is a member of Actor’s Equity, SAG-AFTRA, and the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA). She is also the founder and artistic director of the Manhattan Opera Repertory Ensemble, MORE Opera, a nonprofit that provides underserved audiences accessibility to vocal concerts, training, and educational outreach.
