Westport Country Playhouse's Family Festivities will bring the popular children's book character, Pete the Cat, to its stage in the musical, “Pete's Big Hollywood Adventure,” on Sunday, February 26, at 1 and 4 p.m. Produced by TheaterWorksUSA, the show is based on the “Pete the Cat” series of books by Kimberly and James Dean.

This spring, The Coterie returns to indoor performances with the charming family musical, Pete the Cat, based on the best-selling book series by Kimberly and James Dean. Transforming the fabulous blue feline from the book to the stage, Pete the Cat brings the ever-adventurous but always mellow, Pete, to life on stage with toe-tapping, pop-inspired tunes featuring book & lyrics by Sarah Hammond and music by Will Aronson. Directed by Heidi Van with musical direction by Anthony T. Edwards and choreography by Marc Wayne, Pete the Cat will be performed live on The Coterie’s mainstage located in Crown Center, April 1-May 22, 2022.

A favorite Orlando REP actor, Stephen Pugh, takes on multiple characters as he vividly takes us back to the quaint village of Sleepy Hollow, where stories of wonder and spookiness surround the legend of a headless horseman and schoolmaster Ichabod Crane. Derek G. Martin and Jesse M. Sullivan adapted this Washington Irving classic for the stage. 

MST’s MainStage season will open with the wildly whimsical and equally intelligent Darwin in Malibu by Crispin Whittell, directed by Udden. It’s a meeting of the minds when Charles Darwin, Thomas Huxley, and the Bishop of Oxford, Samuel Wilberforce, meet on the beach in Malibu a century after their deaths!

PS CLASSICS has announced the release of All the Girls – the new album from Rebecca Luker and Sally Wilfert – on CD online and in stores today, Friday, March 5. It was released in digital and streaming formats in December. The album marks the final recording by Ms. Luker, a Broadway luminary for over 30 years, who passed away late last year.

Main Street Theater (MST)'s 45th Season will include six (6) productions on its MainStage and seven (7) at its Theater for Youth for 2020-2021.

Orlando Repertory Theatre (Orlando REP) is ready to rock into spring with a feline favorite starring in his own musical, Pete The Cat. Written by Sarah Hammond and Will Aronson, the musical is based on the wildly popular children's book and television series Pete The Cat by James and Kimberly Dean. There's something wonderful on the Coca-Cola stage at the Alliance Theatre this February.  It's the English-language premiere of the Korean musical Maybe Happy Ending, a fresh and quirky tuner by Will Aronson and Hue Park that made its celebrated world premiere in Seoul, South Korea in 2016 and went on to win six Korean musical awards as well as the 2017 Richard Rodgers Production Award.  The Alliance Theatre's English-language production, superior in every aspect, continues the celebration in grand style.  With sleek and effective set design by Dane Laffrey and wonderfully sensitive acting, the musical, which masquerades as a cute story about robots, is, in truth, a heartbreaking exploration of the fleeting nature of love.
