William Wheeler BIO
William Wheeler is a young Sydney-based Musical Theatre performer.
His most recent role was as Alison Bechdel's older brother Christian in the Sydney Theatre Company’s production of FUN HOME (2021).
In the first Sydney production out of lockdown, William played the role of Theo in PIPPIN (2020/21) with the Gordon Frost Organisation with his character closing the show with an a cappella solo.
He is currently in rehearsal for Opera Australia's summer 2022 season of La Bohème.
This will be his third production with Opera Australia, having performed in Tosca (2020) and in La Bohème(2018/19).
William has appeared on ABC TV, Channel Ten and Nickelodeon, has recorded a number of professional voice overs for radio advertisements and been invited to perform as a soloist for a range of school, community and charity events.
William received the City of Canada Bay Young Citizen of the Year Award, 2020 (awarded January 2021) for a Pokemon card charity drive for bushfire affected communities, and to acknowledge his achievements in the performing arts.
