Apart from the infectious, wall-to-wall music, which is rousingly played live on stage by all the actors, what makes Million Dollar Quartet a crowd-pleaser is the interpersonal dramas driven by the egos of four pop music pioneers.
Million Dollar Quartet brings that unbelievable musical moment to life with an irresistible tale of broken promises, secrets, betrayal, humor, celebration, unforgettable performances of such timeless and enduring hits as 'Blue Suede Shoes,' 'Fever,' 'That's All Right,' and more.

Performing arts are starting to make a comeback in Central Pennsylvania! Million Dollar Quartet opened at Dutch Apple Dinner Theater on September 17, and it serves as a solid choice to reacquaint local audiences with the unique magic of live theater. I was tempted to joke that it was the best show that I saw in the last six months, with the follow up punch line that it was the only show that I saw in the last six months. However, Million Dollar Quartet doesn't deserve my sarcasm. It's a good show. The production would be equally entertaining and fun before, during, or after the pandemic.
(Jerry Lee Lewis's) lifestyle and crazy antics onstage and off are what drove his success and fame and I think it is that element, rather than just his music, that has had the greatest impact on the future generations of rock and roll.
On December 4, 1956, four recording legends dropped by Sam Phillips' famously small Sun Records Studios for various reasons, completely unplanned and coincidental. Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash had both been under contract for some time to Phillips, though Cash's contract would be up soon and he wouldn't be renewing. Jerry Lee Lewis had just signed, and Elvis Presley had long since been sold to RCA. Never one to let an opportunity pass him by, Phillips got the four stars to record an impromptu jam session, and a musical legend was born.
Derby Dinner Playhouse will present the electrifying musical MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, opening August 21 and running through September 29, 2019.
What happens when you mix Agatha Christie, dueling pianos, and a Broadway-quality stage production? No, it's not the next big show coming to Vegas - it's Murder for Two at Gretna Theatre.
Heritage Theatre Festival is preparing to get its 2019 season off to a rocking start with the Tony Award-winning musical Million Dollar Quartet. The show tells the story of the momentous night of December 4, 1956, when legendary Sun Studios owner Sam Phillips brought together musical icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, and Jerry Lee Lewis for a one-time-only jam session for the ages.
THE GREEN ROOM 42 - Broadway's newest intimate concert venue - will present The Music of Eddie Bean tonight, Monday, March 4 at 9:30 PM. The composer and artist Eddie Bean makes his debut at the club with an eclectic showcase of his music. Eddie's writing directly taps into his love of theatre, foundational classical training, and former rock band glory day debauchery. He will be joined by a ragtag band of patiently suffering musicians and several featured vocalists to perform a variety of original material spanning theatre projects new and old, angsty songwriting, art songs, and a healthy dose of wry banter.
After a string of sold-out shows in Murder For Two's opening week, Playhouse on Park has added two additional performances to its calendar. The added shows are Today matinees at 2pm, on January 26 and February 2, respectively. Murder for Two is an uproariously funny musical murder mystery with a twist: one actor investigates the crime, the other plays all of the suspects - and they both do this while playing the piano! A zany blend of classic musical comedy and madcap mystery, Murder For Two is a highly theatrical duet loaded with killer laughs.

As the magic of the holidays drifts away, the lights are taken down and people settle in to the muted grays of January, having something fun, distracting, and entertaining to keep your mind off the cold weather and the dreary days can be a real find. Good news - MURDER FOR TWO, Playhouse on Park's current production, is just what the doctor ordered to fight the winter blahs. It is a funny, fast-paced, murder mystery with a few twists, and it starts 2019 off with a (literal) bang.
