BWW Reviews: On the Edge of Hope

Written by David A. Gill and directed by Tom Wallace, Providence is essentially a deep study of humanity - of how difficult it is to be human and live without existentially getting lost at least at least a thousand times. Originally produced at Transient Theater in Chicago and marking the completion and production of Gill's first full length play, this show is a triumph. It is about the consequences of living with a hole in the center of one's being, and the pain associated with trying to bandage it up while life unrelentingly continues in the meantime.

Christian Authors Share THE STORY OF GLORY

Tate Publishing is proud to announce the signing of authors John Zoller and Dr. Tom Wallace and their soon-to-be-published Christian bible-study book, 'The Story of Glory.' 'The Story of Glory' is a unique and new approach to the Bible, using its themes, lessons and stories to provide the reader with an easy-to-read, entertaining account of timeless biblical truth. Its uniqueness is extended by incorporating a distinctive form of rhyming poetry that is both fluent and flowing, designed to assist the reader in committing the message to memory. With 81 small chapters, it will provide the reader with a nearly complete account of the Bible that will assist them in learning, teaching and sharing the central message. Zoller hopes his book will serve as a way of eliminating any intimidation or confusion that new believers feel when approaching the Bible, sharing, 'After making the decision to follow God and become a Christian, I picked up the Bible and, immediately, I was intimidated by its size and content. I became frustrated, like many other new Christians, and, initially, I gave up and didn't pick it up again until much later. Later on, after receiving the knowledge of truth and understanding, I decided to use my God-given gift of poetry to create an easier-to-read, simplified accompaniment to the original. Using this unique style of writing delivers a general understanding and basic knowledge of the sacred texts. My goal was to spark an interest in the real Word of God, the Bible, and for the reader to be able to commit the message to memory.' Zoller has great respect for the work of theologians and incorporated others' expertise, including that of co-author Dr. Tom Wallace, into The Story of Glory, stating, '[it] was a labor of love. It was written, re-written and inspected by great Christian minds for accuracy and theological errors. This process took over three years of daily, dedicated effort to meet its completion.' Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book will be available upon its release through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com. John Zoller was formerly a struggling, non-believer whose ways caused him to suffer dearly. After feeling the pain of harsh consequence, he began to respond to a different way of life and chose to accept Christ as his Leader. He discovered that following Christ provided a purpose, an abundant life and an eternity. He then decided that he couldn't help but share his newfound passion with the world. He set out to make a difference for the underdog through sharing his previous struggles and presenting the new way of life freshly implanted in him by faith. The value of John Zoller and Dr. Tom Wallace as a team is of significant value: Zoller as the up-and-coming pupil and Dr. Wallace as the experienced and accomplished leader in his respective field. This combination of the highly successful and well credited Dr. Wallace united with the current viewpoint of Zoller provides an unlikely pairing of both traditional experiences with fresh perspective. Their belief system is the same, putting no authority in man, using the Bible as the ultimate source of authority. Their experiences in life are quite different however. Zoller was previously crippled by poor choices and worldly perspective. Dr. Wallace has been a consistent, righteous example to the Christian community for many decades. When combining these two experiences, you gain the wisdom of a mature, experienced mentor, in addition to the viewpoint of one who has dealt with the agonies of life firsthand. Zoller is also a talented guitar player and gifted public speaker. He enjoys sharing his testimony for the purpose of bringing others to Christ. His family is closest to his heart and he enjoys spending quality time with them, implanting in them a vision for a productive and positive future. His hope for the near future lies in becoming a motivational speaker and to continue his work in evangelism. His life is a testimony of success, confirming the effectiveness of Christ's redemptive work.
