London Philharmonic Orchestra Announces 2019/20 Royal Festival Hall Season
The London Philharmonic Orchestra today announced its 2019/20 season at Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall, confirming its reputation for bold, creative and distinctive programming that continues to inspire audiences on a journey of exploration and adventure. The London Philharmonic Orchestra has been performing at the Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall since it opened in 1951, becoming Resident Orchestra there in 1992.
Classical Guitarist Dimitris Dekavallas Comes to the MAC
The New England Guitar Society's International Performer concert series will continue with guitarist Dimitris Dekavallas on Saturday, March 11that 8 pm. Born in Athens/Greece, Dimitris discovered the guitar at the age of five. After receiving numerous scholarships, he studied at the Royal Academy of Music with such luminaries as John Williams and David Russell. He then launched an international career, which includes concerts on four continents, CD releases and awards at competitions. His Milford program on March 11th will include virtuoso guitar favorites by Mertz, Giuliani, Piazzolla, Villa-Lobos and more.
