​​​​​​​PizzaExpress Live continues to present some of the biggest names from the West End and Broadway with a multitude of artists performing at The Pheasantry, this season.

The title is from Billy Strayhorn's Lotus Blossom which has lyrics written by New York lyricist Roger Schore and jazz vocalist Carol Sloane. There are six tunes that started life as instrumentals along with three originals, two penned by Burns and one, You Don't Have To Believe by Tessa Souter. Listen to the new album now!

 “Allons Enfants,” a Bastille Day celebration masterminded by Steve Ross and Jean Brassard, with special guests Karen Akers and Stephanie Biddle, which premieres on Wednesday July 14 at 8:30pm, is being forced to extend due to popular demand.

Bar Thalia, a narrow, uber-casual bar/café adjacent to the Upper West Side arts hub Symphony Space, has become the musical pied-à-terre of vocalist Marcus Goldhaber. Each first Sunday of the month, the artist presents two loosey-goosey acoustic sets with a guest singer and guitarist. All Nite Soul, the Jazz Ministry at Saint Peter's will honor pianist Barry Harris and vocalist Sheila Jordan. All Nite Soul begins on Sunday, October 13 at 5 PM with Jazz Vespersand pianist/organist Sarah McLawler and Les Jazz Femmes, and goes into full swing at 7 PM with a concert of over 80 musicians honoring Barry Harris (pianist) and Sheila Jordan (vocalist), National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Masters who began their musical careers in Detroit, Michigan.

This week at Joe's Pub at the Public (July 1-7) will feature Canada's Birthday Bash, performances by Dona La Nena, Brian Landrus, Mark Murphy and Friends, The Hot Sardines, Sufiana, Alex Ferreira, Kate Ferber, Emily Asher, and John Kelly. Details below!
