Produced by Michael Anthony Theatrical, this one-night engagement on Saturday, May 13th will play Chelsea Table and Stage at 7:00pm.

High school musical theater students from the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C. will perform their original songs alongside a slate of Broadway stars on Friday, March 19 at 7 PM. The concert is the culmination of the second annual ASCAP Foundation Andrew A. Isen Musical Theater Songwriting Workshop.

Jacksonville, "Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord"! Godspell opened at the Alhambra January 11 and is entertaining audiences. The musical follows the parables Jesus Christ told, presented by many different characters in present day terms, accompanied by a wonderful score written by Stephen Schwartz.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series presented dancer/singer Evan Ruggiero (Drama Desk Award Nominee, Bastard Jones) and his band The S'Evan Legs in concert on Monday, August 27. Evan and the band (Justin Garcia, Brendan Daily, Will Dougherty, Max Adler, Joe Gullace, Rich Cush and Dave Berrios) performed their ultimate show at Birdland. Nicole Loewenstein and Michael Taylor Robinson were special guest vocalists. The high-energy performance included classic rock n' roll fused with Broadway and current chart topping hits.

Normal Ave Productions, a dynamic new theatre company, is celebrating it's one year anniversary by launching The Hashtag Series: In Concert. Normal Ave believes in 'Redefining Normal', taking moments from our everyday lives and reexamining them.

Continuing his winning streak of taking classic fairy tales and turning them into hip-hop extravaganzas, writer/ director Psalmayne 24 has done it again with a futuristic take on Snow White. He has kicked our heroine into the year 3000, armed her with a graffiti device, and put her up against an evil uncle named Kanye East. The Freshest Snow Whyte at Imagination Stage may not be the familiar version of the fairy tale, but it's one you should really get to know.

The Lexington Theatre Company is in final preparations for its second 'Concert With The Stars,' January 16, 2016, at 8:00pm at The Lexington Opera House. This year's line-up of stars includes Jenni Barber (Wicked, Annie, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Stephen R. A comic bouquet of theatrical fluff that Shakespeare tossed off, as its title suggests, solely to please his audience, Synetic takes the story and gives it the contemporary edge that we've come to know and love. But given its gritty, urban setting and new characters, I strongly advise you re-acquaint yourself with the original plot and then peruse the 'revised' plot offered in the program here.
