The League of Professional Theatre Women will launch its 40th Anniversary Season on September 20th, with birthday messages from theatre luminaries: Irene Gandy, Emily Mann, Charlotte Moore, Estelle Parsons, Tonya Pinkins, Theresa Rebeck, Daryl Roth, Susan Stroman, Linda Winer and more.

Molly Nevins's new play 'In This Place' will premiere at the 2021 Broadway Bound Theatre Festival.

With its continuing mission to support women theatre makers and creators through discourse, resources, and mentorship, the League of Professional Theatre Women (www.theatrewomen.org) will kick off its 39th season on Monday, September 13 at 7 pm with a free virtual event, open to all League members and women interested in future League membership.

Pickering, is a British, actress and writer. She began writing for theatre in 2018, at Primitive Grace Theatre Ensemble, with artistic directors Paul Calderon and David Zayas, also co-founding members of New York LAByrinth Theatre. In 2020, Pickering was accepted as a member of The League of Professional Theatre Women, as well as The International Centre of Female Playwrights.

The League of Professional Theatre Women, an organization which has been championing women in the professional theatre for over three decades, announces their 38th season of programming, events, and advocacy along with new officers and board members. All events this season will be presented online via Zoom, unless otherwise noted. 

'Composure' by Scott C. Sickles is a romantic drama set on a college campus about a star-crossed relationship whose past tragedies encroach upon their present.

CELEBRATION THEATRE presents as part of its New Works Reading Series, THE FABULOUS DARSHAN, written by Bob Stewart and directed by Jeffrey Polk.   THE FABULOUS DARSHAN will perform one night only, Tuesday August 16 at 7:30pm at The West Hollywood City Chambers, 625 N. Leslie Kincaid Burby directs the entire evening.
