The Los Angeles Philharmonic's Weimar Republic: Germany 1918-1933, through two wide-ranging and dramatic programs led by Conductor Laureate Esa-Pekka Salonen, explores the musical culture of Germany's politically charged Weimar era. These concerts are given context by Weimar Variations, a collection of ancillary events curated by Stephanie Barron and Nana Bahlmann.

terraNOVA Collective and The Playground Theater, in association with the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, are pleased to announce the world premiere of DON CHIPOTLE by Juan Francisco Villa (Empanada for a Dream), directed by Jo Cattell. A new Latino superhero is born in this epic coming-of-age adventure, told through theatre, puppetry, animation, music and a children's choir. DON CHIPOTLE will play August 25 - September 27, 2015 at the Storefront Theater, 66 E. Randolph St. in Chicago. The Theatre School at DePaul University will present A FREE MAN OF COLOR, at the new Theatre School building, located at Racine and Fullerton on the Lincoln Park Campus. The Fullerton Stage Theatre is a 250-seat thrust theatre located on the first floor of the school. John Guare's A FREE MAN OF COLOR is directed by Phyllis E. Griffin, premieres on Friday, January 31, and runs through Sunday, February 9, 2014. Performances are Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2 PM. Previews are tonight, January 29 and the 30th, at 7:30 PM.
