The Factory Theater, 1623 W. Howard St., has released first look photos of the final production in its 28th season, Lane Call: A Night of Closing, June 9 - July 22, written by Len Foote and Scott OKen and directed by Scott OKen.

The Factory Theater Announces 28th Season


The Factory Theater has announced its 28th anniversary season of world premieres including Angelina Martinez’s HOA, September 9 – October 22, Shannon O’Neill’s The Kelly Girls, February 17 – April 1, 2023 and Len Foote and Scott OKen’s Lane Call, June 9 – July 22, 2023 and the late night variety show series Factory After Dark.

The Factory Theater Presents XMAS WAR: ENDGAME


The Factory Theater presents the continuation of last year's holiday special, Xmas War, with Xmas War: ENDGAME, December 13 - 21 at Factory Theater, 1623 W. Howard St. Factory Theater's holiday production is a double feature with the company performing last year's show and then continuing the story with this year's sequel. The production runs for two weekends only, Friday, Dec. 13 and 20 and Saturday, Dec. 14 and 21, at 8 p.m. Xmas War: ENDGAME is directed by Matt Engle and written by Scott OKen. Live Love Shop Rogers Park Rebate Program Will Kick Off on November 30


The nonprofit Rogers Park Business Alliance (RPBA) announces a community-wide, month-long holiday celebration with its annual Live Love Shop Rogers Park rebate program, kicking off on Small Business Saturday, November 30, and running through December 31.

The Factory Theater Welcoms New Ensemble Members


The Factory Theater is proud to announce five new members of its artistic ensemble: Brittney Brown, Jose M. Cervantes, Ashley Yates, Michael Jones and Jennifer Betancourt.  Factory's ensemble members write all of the Factory's original plays and have full voting rights in the company, including season selection, leadership election and accepting new ensemble members. They are also forced to do arduous chores like helping with strike and manning the box office.

It's Haunted!, September 27 - November 9; Mike Beyer and Kirk Pynchon's Last Night in Karaoke Town, February 14 - March 28, 2020 and Angelina Martinez's The HOA, June 12 - July 25, 2020. The Factory Theater, celebrating five years on Howard Street in Rogers Park, continues the tradition it established at Season One: producing original, impactful, timely work that is important to the company, its ensemble and Chicago. The Factory's core values and unique sense of humor have not changed, and it continues to do what it does best: unabashedly entertain its audience totally and completely.

The Factory Theater presents the first production of its 25th anniversary season, the world premiere of Captain Steve's Caring Kingdom, playing at the Factory Theater, 1623 W. Howard St., October 27 December 9. The new play is both written and directed by Company Member Mike Ooi. Previews are Friday, Oct. 27 and Saturday, Oct. 28 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 29 at 3 p.m. Opening night is Friday, Nov. 3 at 8 p.m. The regular run, November 3 December 9, is Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Ticket prices are $10 for previews, $18 for students and seniors and $25 for general admission.
