Sara Kramer is an great talent who grew up in Nyack, NY. She attended Stagedoor Manor and Northwestern's High School Institute during her summers to train for a career in musical theater. Her story is inspirational- at a youth theater production of Les Mis (the world premiere of the "school edition"- her voice can be heard on MTI's website) a castmate told her about an open call for the Mamma Mia National Tour. She almost didn't go, but decided to go for it. When the auditioners found out she was still in high school, they told her to finish up her schooling. Two days before she graduated from high school, she got a call telling her she would be going on tour with Mamma Mia in an ensemble role as the Sophie understudy. Then, after touring for a few monthes, she was cast as the Sophie replacement. Earlier this year, while at the dentist, she got a call telling her she was going to Broadway. Sara made her Broadway debut at the age of 18 and her career is sure to be great.

The Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild (MUAHS, IATSE Local 706) announced winners of its 6th Annual MUAHS Awards in 21 categories of film, television, commercials and live theater, during a formal gala at the Novo by Microsoft at L.A. Live Downtown on Saturday night, February 16, 2019. Winners in the Feature Motion Pictures categories include A Star is Born, Vice,Crazy Rich Asians and Mary Queen of Scots. Television winners included The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, American Horror Story: Apocalypse, Westworld and Dancing with the Stars. For the categories of Motion Picture Made for Television, winners include King Lear, Cocaine Godmother and Jesus Christ Superstar: Live and in Concert.

Los Angeles Times Food Bowl is proud to release the program schedule for 31 days of food celebrating L.A.'s amazing food and drink scene. Spanning the entire month of May, Food Bowl will feature over 200 events with many of the chefs and restaurants that have put Los Angeles on the map as one of the world's great food cities alongside internationally renowned chefs in rare local appearances. In its second year, the festival will continue to raise awareness and funds to fight food insecurity and hunger and promote waste reduction and sustainability through charity partners and participating events.
