 This spring, celebrating its 40th anniversary as an artist residency program, Ucross welcomed 55 visual artists, writers, composers, choreographers and interdisciplinary artists from across North America to its historic 20,000-acre ranch in the foothills of the Bighorn Mountains in northern Wyoming.

Ucross's spring session is in full swing. From February 7 through June 3, 56 artists from a variety of disciplines will be in residence at the historic 20,000-acre ranch in the foothills of the Bighorn Mountains in northern Wyoming. 

The Asian American Arts Alliance has announced the selection of Annie Heath for its 2021 Jadin Wong Fellowship, which includes a $6,000 unrestricted cash award and eight months of professional development training and career support to foster the next milestone of Heath's artistic career.

Abrons Arts Center presents the world premiere of RAPHAEL, the third evening-length work by choreographer Mariangela Lopez, on May 2 -5 at 8pm. Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, Lopez has built an expressive body of work with unique collaborators, from untrained dancers to Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. For RAPHAEL, she is joined by performers Laurel Atwell, Anna Azrieli, and Mor Mendel, along with composer Jason Grisell who performs live - RAPHAEL marks their third collaboration.

New York Live Arts presents the world premiere of Bessie Award winner Joanna Kotze's What will we be like when we get there, a new interdisciplinary dance performance with long-time collaborators dancer/choreographer Netta Yerushalmy, visual artist Jonathan Allen, and composer/musician Ryan Seaton. What will we be like when we get there will premiere at New York Live Arts March 28-31, 2018, 7:30 PM. In conjunction with the performance, an exhibition, Knowing that your House is on Fire in the lobby of New York Live Arts, will feature new works by visual artist, Jonathan Allen. In commemoration of the anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day, straight from its Broadway and cinematic premieres, and inspired by the true-life experience of its star George Takei ('Star Trek,' 'Heroes'), the Broadway film of ALLEGIANCE returns to cinemas across the U.S., telling the story of one family's extraordinary journey in a troubling time for a nation plunged into war by the events of Pearl Harbor.

Today we celebrate Allegiance, which opened on this day in 2015 at Broadway's Longacre Theater.

Alphawood Gallery (2401 North Halsted Street, Chicago) continues to merge visual arts and activism via its critically-acclaimed exhibition, Then They Came for Me: Incarceration of Japanese Americans during WWII and the Demise of Civil Liberties. George Takei is set to return to Honolulu with cast members from his Broadway musical Allegiance to honor the veterans of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team (the most decorated unit of the U.S. Army during WWII) and 100th Infantry Battalion on Saturday, November 4 at 9 a.m. local time.

The Third Annual Asian World Film Festival (AWFF) has selected Turkey's official 2018 Oscar entry, Ayla: The Daughter of War as the Festivals opening night film on October 25. Filmed in South Korea, Ayla: The Daughter of War tells a touching story of an orphan girl and a Turkish soldier set during the Korean War.

New York Wine Events is pleased to present its second summer season of Jazz in the Vines at Jamesport Vineyards located on the North Fork of Long Island on Saturdays July 22, August 5, and August 26. Doors open at 6pm; show time is 7pm.

Productions and ATA, with performances at JACCC's Aratani Theatre in Los Angeles from February 21-April 1, 2018. Previews will run from February 21-25, with the Opening Night performance and reception on February 28.
