Review: HERE, Southwark Playhouse
by Cindy Marcolina - Nov 16, 2022
It all sounds quite dramatic on paper, but the piece becomes a relentless plod-along. It’s plotless and paceless. The characters are irredeemably broken and unchanged by their time on stage. Monica is an alcoholic, Jess is having an existential crisis, Jeff is a church-going gambler, and Matt’s grief for his mother rules his apathetic life.
Bill Scorzari Releases Single from New Album
by Abigail Charpentier - Aug 15, 2019
On September 20, New York native, Bill Scorzari, independently releases his third full-length album of all original music titled, Now I'm Free. His sound is gritty, raw and at times, downright sad. His songs transition through a multitude of emotions, with themes centered on the experiences of the human condition. Of his music, some say it's spoken word, and others, an amalgam of the voice of Tom Waits, the delivery of Sam Baker, and the soul of Kris Kristofferson. In his lyrics, there is a poetic grace, a calming and resigned wisdom of acceptance that shines through the wistful melancholy of hope, and breaks free. No Depression wrote, a?oeBill Scorzari is a force. His songwriting is stellar, his picking above par and his voice fits his songs perfectly.'

Throughout ten tracks, themes wind from romantic relationships to those with her children, parents, and friends. Weaved throughout are hopes for herself and the world around her. The album is set for release on September 20. “Walk A Little Closer,” with Lula Wiles, is premiering today on The Bluegrass Situation.

Corbin Bleu, Colleen Zenk and Randy Brooks Star in FAMILY SHOTS, Opening Tonight at The Human Race Theatre
by BWW News Desk - Jan 22, 2015
Dayton's premier professional regional theatre continues its legacy of developing new works and its long-standing relationship with New York writer Michael Slade as it prepares for the first ever production of Slade's latest play, Family Shots, at downtown's The Loft Theatre. Charming family patriarch Sam Baker lies in a hospital bed, recovering from an apparent heart attack, but his wife, Marsha, won't stop making the crisis all about her -- much to the dismay of their son, Aaron. The young photographer wonders why his parents even stay together while he and his husband, Malcolm, deal with their own issues as newlyweds. Intimate, yet universal, Family Shots is a wildly funny and touching comedy about marriage -- its joys, challenges and responsibilities -- and what's worth fighting for. The production runs tonight, January 22 - February 8, 2015.
