Southern Indiana Elements of Art, in partnership with the Charlestown Parks Department will present the ferociously hilarious musical Mean Girls JR. on July 21st at 7pm and July 22nd at 2pm & 7pm at Charlestown High School.
Despite some deficiencies in the script, MEAN GIRLS still skyrockets in ways most large-scale musicals don’t these days. The young talent on the stage is astonishing and you’ll leave the show wanting to both download the original cast recording and stream the film.
Welcome to Girl World, also known as Music Hall at Fair Park. Broadway's Mean Girls brings you a story of friendship, insecurity, curiosity, and acceptance. Don't miss out, and don't forget to wear PINK! Music Hall at Fair Park May 3-15. It’s going to be so FETCH!
Reprising their roles from the 2019-2020 season are Danielle Wade as Cady Heron, Megan Masako Haley as Gretchen Wieners, Jonalyn Saxer as Karen Smith, Mary Kate Morrissey as Janis Sarkisian, Eric Huffman as Damian Hubbard, Adante Carter as Aaron Samuels, Kabir Bery as Kevin G. and Lawrence E. The August Wilson Theatre was the place to be last night as Mean Girls officially opened on Broadway! To celebrate the big night, some of Broadway's best, plus a handful of SNL cast members of past and present, walked the pink carpet before the curtain went up!
There's a theory, hopefully an accurate one, that the things that make you an outcast in high school are the things that make you awesome as an adult. And maybe that's why scenes in the buoyant new musical Mean Girls are often stolen by the Mathletes, the activist artist, the tap dancers and the kid who decided to attend the Halloween party as sexy Rosa Parks.
I hope this one has great success on Broadway. It has the potential to be an audience favorite.
Yesterday, the actors who portrayed the high school lovebirds, Lindsay Lohan and Jonathan Bennett, reunited over FaceTime, just four days after the special anniversary. Lohan took to Instagram to share a shot of the reunion.

The second edition of the award-winning franchise, reported by TODAY's Natalie Morales, returns to Dateline Sunday, June 7 at 8p/7c on NBC.
A mini MEAN GIRLS reunion took place today when Lindsay Lohan ran into her former film co-star Tina Fey.
Despite teasing about a possible MEAN GIRLS sequel with Lindsay Lohan on a recent appearance on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show, Tina Fey insists that the project will not be happening.
The film 'follows a mom who is forced to deal with some grown-up 'mean girls' in her suburban neighborhood.'
