MEAN MOMS would not be a sequel to MEAN GIRLS, though both films are based on books by Rosalind Wiseman. MEAN MOMS is an adaptation of "Queen Bee Moms and King Pin Dads". Sean Anders and John Morris are currently rewriting the script.

McCarthy-Miller is known for her directorial work on TV's Saturday Night Live, 30 Rock, Modern Family, The Marriage Ref, Mad Love, Important Things with Demetri Martin, The Jon Stewart Show, MTV's Unplugged and more. Her film Why We Broke Up is aiming for a 2014 release.
