The 32nd Annual Virginia Film Festival will feature a deep and diverse program of more than 150 films, including some of the hottest titles on the festival circuit today, and an array of special guests from throughout the industry, and from across the globe. This year's lineup includes award-winning actor, writer, and director Ethan Hawke, noted actor Ann Dowd, international bestselling author John Grisham, actor Dennis Christopher, acclaimed filmmaker Wanuri Kahiu - plus more than 100 filmmakers in all.

A one-hour special from the James Beard Foundation (JBF) and Intersport, “JBFA: Stories from the 2019 James Beard Awards,” will premiere on The ABC Television Network, SUNDAY, MAY 19 (4:00-5:00 p.m. EDT/3:00-4:00 p.m. PDT). Prince George's Little Theatre will produce 'The Nerd,' a classic farce by Larry Shue, at the Bowie Playhouse from August 11 - 26. All Friday performances and the Saturday performances August 12 and 19 are at 8 p.m. The Sunday performances on August 13 and 20 and the closing performance on Saturday, August 26 are 2 p.m. matinees. The play is directed by John Degnan and produced by Malia Murray.

Hollywood 1932- Prohibition will soon be going out but the Will Hays production code is coming in to watch over Hollywood movies for content not suitable for the American Public.During this time Billionaire Howard Hughes is producing a movie called SCARFACE about a fictional gangster with that name and has hired famed writer Ben Hecht to write the screenplay.  What would happen if a certain real gangster of that time gets wind of the project and sends some 'associates' of his to visit Hecht and see how close the story is to the real SCARFACE's life. A VISIT FROM SCARFACE takes that idea and brings real and fictional characters to a Hollywood Hotel suite one afternoon to see what might have happen on a typical madcap day in Hollywood.

The Santa Barbara Film Festival has announced its 2013 lineup. The 28th edition features films from 49 countries and runs January 24-February 3. The festival will open with DISCONNECT, a drama starring Jason Bateman and will conclude with Rowan Athale's Wasteland.
