TDF, the not-for-profit service organization for the performing arts, has just announced that celebrated costume designer ANN HOULD-WARD and legendary scenic designer RICHARD HUDSON are among the 2024 TDF/Irene Sharaff Award recipients.

La MaMa presents the world premiere of Hong Kong Mississippi, a provocative new coming of age story written and performed by Wesley Du. Craig Belknap directs Mr. Du, who plays a captivating diversity of 16 characters.

TDF has announced that celebrated costume designer Fred Voelpel and legendary scenic designer Eugene Lee are among the 2022 TDF/Irene Sharaff Award recipients. Although Mr. Voelpel passed away in June, he will be honored posthumously with the TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design.

Jeannine Kaspar will take over the starring role of Karen Lukoff in MsTRIAL at New World Stages beginning January 3, 2020. The role was originally played by Christine Evangelista who is leaving MsTRIAL to return to shooting a?oeThe Walking Dead.a?? Producers Darlene Kaplan, Laura Janik Cronin and Scott Newsome, in association with Alec Seymour, SPF Group and Susanne Adamski, announced today that The Stone Witch, a play by Shem Bitterman (A Death in Colombia, Influence) will end its run at The Westside Theatre - Upstairs (407 West 43rd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues) after the matinee performance on Sunday, April 29, 2018.  When it closes, it will have played 15 preview performances and 41 regular performances. Performances began Monday, March 12, 2018 for an open-ended engagement. Opening Night was Sunday evening, March 25, 2018.

Legendary ballet costume designer HOLLY HYNES and costume and scenic designer ZACK BROWN are among the 2018 TDF/Irene Sharaff Award recipients which were just announced by TDF, the not-for-profit service organization for the performing arts. Ms. Hynes was selected to receive the 2018 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design and Mr. Brown will receive the Robert L. B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design. The awards are presented through TDF's Costume Collection. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, April 20, at 6:30pm, at the Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street).
