Casting has been confirmed for Paul Taylor-Mills' highly celebrated annual festival of new musical theatre, MTFestUK 2021. Featuring a truly spectacular company of international stars, with a number of Tony and Olivier Awards to their names, this year's season is set to be an unmissable event in the 2021 musical theatre calendar.  

Everyone needs an understudy, right? Stepping into the role of narrator, replacing Stephen Fry, is BAFTA and British Comedy Award winning legend Lee Mack. The cast of The Understudy, now includes Matthew Horne, Emily Atack, James Norton, Mina Anwar, Natalie Casey, Adelayo Adedayo, Lucy Briggs-Owen, Sasha Frost, Marie Lawrence, and more.

Nigel Slater's Toast is an online play a?" part radio play, part animated film. Written by Henry Filloux-Bennett, the show is based on Nigel Slater's award-winning biography and vividly recreates his childhood through stunning animation.

Following its hugely successful 2019 West End run and national tour, Nigel Slater's Toast returns to the Lawrence Batley Theatre as a brand-new online play for audiences to enjoy from the comfort of their own home.

The pretense begins as the audience walks into the auditorium. It's as the warm smell of perfect nearly-burnt toast hits their noses that the good-hearted and fluffy nature of Toast reveals itself. Based on Nigel Slater's homonymous memoir, Henry Filloux-Bennett's bakes a play with enough nostalgia and hopefulness to feed a crowd.

Ahead of rehearsals starting on Monday, cast has been announced for the world premiere run of the stage adaptation of Nigel Slater's memoirs Toast, at The Lowry in Salford.

An opening night party for Hot Feet, the dance musical set to the songs of Earth, Wind & Fire, was held on April 30th and BroadwayWorld was there!
