MAKIKO SHIBUYA is an international director. SDC Associate Member. MEEA Member.
SHIBUYA most notably completed a Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation fellowship for Broadway’s Allegiance. She has served as an Assistant Director for an immersive production of Peter Pan under Artistic Director: Randy Weiner, and director, Allegra Libonati, that had its workshop production in New Jersey before opening in Beijing. She wrote and directed KAGUYA: the Moon Princess, a musical that had its inception in Boston and premiered in Tokyo. Selected directing credits also include The Wiz and FAME. She also created/directed a site-specific musical, a street musical"SHIBUYA FINDS YOU" at the street right beside the world-known, Shibuya Crossing.
