Laura J. Axelrod is an Author, Playwright, and Journalist whose work centers on women’s lives, historical fiction, and non-fiction. She is a recognized voice in arts and politics, with essays and reviews appearing in The Clyde Fitch Report, The Seattle Times and the Educause Review. Her historical nonfiction includes the doc-novel, Project 1968, rooted in intensive research at the Lyndon Baines Johnson Presidential Library. Her playwriting has been performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, as well as in New York and San Francisco. She also wrote and directed the documentary film, Becoming Colonel Cullmann. Laura is a graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts (MFA, BFA).
