Houston Center for Contemporary Craft will present Escaping Earth: The Kinetic Work of Casey Curran,featuring kinetic sculptures, asteroid paintings, and installations that reflect the haunting beauty of human innovation and its aftermath. The exhibition, which is Curran's first solo show outside of Washington State, showcases the artist's ability to create exquisite sculptures that convey the complexities found within nature, art, and architecture.

Houston Center for Contemporary Craft (HCCC) is pleased to present "All You Can Eat," a solo exhibition by mixed-media artist Justin Favela. Featuring larger-than-life piñatas depicting a visual feast of Tex-Mex cuisine, from "nachos supreme" to "chili con carne," this site-specific installation, which is both playful and challenging, is intended to generate conversation about popular culture, the politics of food, and the Latinx experience in the U.S.

Kathryn Hall will succeed Danielle S. Allen as the Chair of The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation's Board of Trustees, the Foundation announced today. Allen announced her retirement after eleven years of service, the last four as Chair. The Foundation also announced the election of museum director Thelma Golden and investor Joshua S. Friedman to the Board of Trustees.
