THE WATERMAN Will Run at The Players Theatre This September


The Waterman was first performed as a staged reading at the January 2013 Fertile Ground Festival in Portland, OR. The Part-Time Playhouse live-streamed a staged reading in Portland in May 2013. It had 2 runs at Action/Adventure Theater in November 2013 and January 2014.

Original Musical WHAT'S YOUR WISH? Will Make Off-Broadway Debut At NYMF 2018


Thicket & Thistle, the New York City theater company comprised of actor-musicians who blur the lines between author, performer, and orchestra, are excited to announced that its original musical What's Your Wish? will make its Off-Broadway debut this July as part of the 2018 New York Musical Festival's Next Link Project. 

New Folk Musical WHAT'S YOUR WISH? Plays the West End Theatre

Creative Team and Cast Members Announced For Three New Musicals at Theatre Now


Theatre Now New York, Thomas Morrissey, artistic director and Chris Giordano, managing director present three musical premiers in rotating rep. Tickets are on sale now to the three new musicals We Have Apples, Thicket & Thistle's What's Your Wish? and Kragtar: An American Monster Musical. BWW Reviews: NYMF's ZOMBIE STRIPPERS Needs Reworking Before Reanimation


The annual New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) is a fertile ground for quirky, offbeat musicals, giving invaluable exposure to new projects. When I first heard that ZOMBIE STRIPPERS would be performing at NYMF this year, I couldn't help but get excited. The title alone offers enough titillating connotations to tantalize the brain, filling it with voluminous curiosity as to how a creative team makes a musical about strippers who happen to also be zombies. Unfortunately, the current end product leaves something to be desired.

The Award-Winning Astoria Performing Arts Center (APAC) and Artistic Director Tom Wojtunik are pleased to announce the one-week extension of Richard Rodgers & Oscar Hammerstein II's ALLEGRO, choreographed by Christine O'Grady, musical directed by Julianne B. Merrill and directed by Wojtunik, as his last production as Artistic Director. ALLEGRO, of which Theatermania says, Wojtunik brings 'to elegant life,' will extend a week at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 30-44 Crescent St (@30th Rd), in Astoria, Queens. began Thursday, May 1 and will now continue through Saturday, May 24. Opening Night was Saturday, May 3 (8 p.m.).
