Choral Artists' AMERICSAN FANFARE Is July 4 At Sarasota Opera House
For the past 18 years, Choral Artists of Sarasota has celebrated America's freedom and independence with a July 4th concert of rousing, patriotic songs. According to Joseph Holt, the artistic director and conductor of Choral Artists of Sarasota, this may be area audiences' final opportunity to experience the group's beloved Independence Day concert.
Choral Artists of Sarasota to Premiere 'LISTEN TO THE EARTH'
Choral Artists of Sarasota’s 43rd season, entitled “Carried Away!” continues with the long-awaited world premiere of “Listen to the Earth,” Sunday, April 24, 5 p.m., at the Sarasota Opera House. The concert showcases “Listen to the Earth,” a symphonic choral cantata by James Grant, an award-winning composer and part-time Sarasota resident. Also featured on the program is the “Song of the Universal” by Ola Ojeilo, Ralph Vaughan Williams’ “The Lark Ascending” and another work by James Grant, “Earth – Poem of Thanks to Our Common Home.”

Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota will present an evening of vocal jazz standards with BoyGirlBoyGirl, featuring Don Lobacz, Tommy Lueck, Laura Monagle and Michaela Ristaino, accompanied by Joseph Holt on piano, Wednesday, March 23, at Plantation Golf & Country Club, 500 Rockley Blvd., Venice. The performance is at 6 pm followed by dinner.
Choral Artists of Sarasota Honor Dr. Ann Stephenson-Moe
The Choral Artists of Sarasota named its apprentice scholarship in honor of Dr. Ann Stephenson-Moe. The announcement was made on Saturday, January 22, at a reception hosted by Gretchen Rimmer. The reception was a fundraiser in support of Choral Artists’ education and outreach programs and the apprentice scholarship. The presentation celebrated Stephenson-Moe for her achievements and featured a performance by the New York-based Gilbert & Sullivan Players.

Choral Artists of Sarasota's 43rd season, 'Carried Away,' opens with Leonard Bernstein's celebrated musical, 'On The Town,' Sunday, November 7, 7 p.m., at Riverview Performing Arts Center, 1 Ram Way, Sarasota. Narrator Kate Alexander joins the Choral Artists singers and soloists Jenny Kim-Godfrey, Michaela Ristaino, McKenzie Pollock, Mark Lubas, Luis González and John Whittlesey in a concert version of this iconic musical.
