Skidmore Theater announces its Fall Black Box Production, The Harvest by Samuel D. Hunter, directed by artist-in-residence John Michael DiResta. Samuel D. Hunter is a contemporary playwright of such acclaimed plays as The Whale and A Bright New Boise, with The Harvest premiering in 2016 at Lincoln Center Theater.

Skidmore Theater is pleased to announce its Fall Black Box Production, The Harvest by Samuel D. Hunter, directed by artist-in-residence John Michael DiResta. Samuel D. Hunter is a contemporary playwright of such acclaimed plays as The Whale and A Bright New Boise, with The Harvest premiering in 2016 at Lincoln Center Theater. Skidmore Theater is pleased to announce its Spring Main Stage Production, Cabaretby Joe Kander, Fred Ebb, and Joe Masteroff, directed by artist-in-residence John Michael DiResta. This production explores queerness, fascism, and jazz in a highly immersive fashion in which the theater space is reinvented, transforming the JKB into the Kit Kat Club and allowing some audience members to sit on the stage at cafe tables

Skidmore Theater is pleased to announce its Spring Director's Lab, Maybe Tomorrow, Maybe Next Year, conceived and directed by new Skidmore Theater faculty member John Michael DiResta. DiResta comes to Skidmore as a 2014 Drama League Fellow, and has previously directed at Yale University, Steppenwolf Theater Garage, and the Hangar Theatre. Maybe Tomorrow, Maybe Next Year is a new collaborative work inspired by Bob Dylan's seminal 1974 album Blood on the Tracks.

B-Side Productions is proud to announce the second annual B-Side Productions' New American Musical Award for composers, lyricists, book writers and musical theatre artists. This developmental prize aims to resource early and mid-career musical theater writers with the opportunity to further develop a work in progress. B-Side Productions will accept traditional book musicals, concept pieces, and plays with music, but most importantly, submissions that challenge the traditional forms of musical theater, create community, and dare to be unique/messy/irreverent.
