THE ORB Announce 17th Album

On March 27, 2020, Cooking Vinyl present Abolition of the Royal Familia the 17th album by THE ORB, formed prolific electronic godfather Alex Paterson and his rotating roster of collaborative cohorts. It forms part two of a pair – a continuation of the same “anything goes” ethos as the previous, critically-acclaimed 2018 longplayer No Sounds Are Out Of Bounds.
Detroit's Youngest Artists to Perform at Starr Summer Youth Festival July 25

Rather than sitting at home playing video games or complaining of boredom, hundreds of young people across the city are preparing to showcase their talents at the second annual Art of Resilience Starr Summer Youth Festival on Saturday, July 25 from 12 noon to 8 p.m. The event will be held at Paradise Valley Park (formerly Harmonie Park) and the Carr Center, 311 East Grand River, in downtown Detroit.

An intimate production of 'Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens' will be performed at the Triad Theatre in Manhattan on Mar. 8 to support The Trevor Project. Ryan Berman, a Marymount Manhattan College directing student, and Jason Haft, an NYU student, produce the benefit. The two also direct the evening with Steve Bednasz at the piano. Elizabeth Espinoza stage manages.
