This kick ass, girl power show has one of the most infectious scores that I‚Äôve come across in years. It's been a crazy year, Dear Readers. Lots of ups, lots of downs, and LOTS of emotions. And I'm not just talking about on stage. But let's not dwell on the bad things that may have happened in the world and focus on some of the amazing things Seattle theater companies gave us this past year, and let me tell you there were quite a few. So many in fact that in some categories I simply had to call out more than the usual Honorable Mentions as some performances just needed to be noted. You'll see what I mean especially when you get to the female categories as the ladies were certainly bringing it this year. But let's get started shall we? Out of the myriad shows I saw this year in Seattle, here are the shows and performances that truly stood out to me.

Hollywood's Classic Musical SINGIN' IN THE RAIN Splashes onto Stage at Village Theatre

What a glorious feeling! This holiday season, Village Theatre brings to the stage one of Hollywood's most beloved classics,Singin' in the Rain. Based on the MGM film, which is widely lauded as one of the greatest movie musicals of all time, Singin' in the Rain is a faithful adaptation by the original award-winning screenplay team, Betty Comden and Adolph Green, with songs by Nacio Herb Brown andArthur Freed. The production will be helmed by much of the same creative team that launched last season's hit musical, Billy Elliot, with Artistic Director Steve Tomkins once again in the director's chair.

On next week's all new episode of 90210, titled 'Dude, Where's My Husband?,' Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) meets up-and-coming mogul Jordan Welland (guest star Robbie Jones), who hires her to plan events for his media empire, while Annie (Shenae Grimes), Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) and Silver (Jessica Stroup) plan a girls' night out for Naomi, which ends with disastrous results. Dixon (Tristan Wilds) starts to develop feelings for Michaela (guest star LynDon Smith), and Liam (Matt Lanter) finds out that the Cronus brothers plan to blame Navid (Michael Steger) for the cheating ring and is forced to befriend them to clear Navid's name. Trevor Donovan also stars. Matthew Diamond directed the episode written by Liz Phang (#517).

Wolfgang Puck has a cameo role as a celebrity judge in a cooking competition.

On next week's all new episode of 90210, 'We're Not in Kansas Anymore,' Annie (Shenae Grimes) experiences an alternate reality about what life would have been like if she had stayed in Kansas, including being engaged to her high school boyfriend. In the alternate world, Dixon (Tristan Wilds) becomes a massively successful hip hop artist who no longer has contact with his family, while Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) is a washed-up actress and Hollywood's bad girl. Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) is a real estate agent, and Teddy (Trevor Donovan) has not revealed his true sexual orientation. Matt Lanter, Michael Steger and Jessica Stroup also star. Cherie Nowlan directed the episode written by Liz Phang (#511). 'We're Not in Kansas Anymore' airs on Jan. 28 at 9PM on The CW.
