Colburn School Announces New Dean Appointments, Silas Farley and Darleen Callaghan

Colburn School announced today that dancer, educator, and choreographer Silas Farley, a recent New York City Ballet alumnus, will become Dean of the Trudl Zipper Dance Institute (TZDI), and Darleen Callaghan, former Director of Miami City Ballet School, will become Associate Dean of TZDI, effective July 1, 2021.

This summer, the Colburn School will host two, two-week, five-day summer workshops, June 19–30 and July 31–August 11, 2017, in preparation for The Music Center's holiday production of the all new George Balanchine's The Nutcracker® by Miami City Ballet.
Four NYCB Principal Dancers to Retire during 2014 Winter and Spring Seasons

New York City Ballet announced today that Principal Dancers Jenifer Ringer, Janie Taylor, Sebastien Marcovici, and Jonathan Stafford will retire from the Company during the 2014 Winter and Spring Seasons. All four of these Principal Dancers joined the Company during the 1990s as members of the corps de ballet, and have performed countless roles by numerous choreographers during careers spanning from 15 to 24 years with New York City Ballet.
