Haddon Kime Biography
Haddon Kime is a composer/lyricist from Atlanta, Georgia. He wrote the music and lyrics to "The Snow Queen: A New Musical" which won the publishing award at The New York Musical Theatre Festival in 2014 and since, has been performed all over the world. In 2017 Haddon wrote the music and lyrics for Dad's Garage Theatre's most successful production to date "Wicket: A Parody Musical" which went on to win The BroadwayWorld Award for best regional musical in San Antonio in 2019, after it was produced there by Performing Arts San Antonio. Haddon made his directing debut during the 2020 COVID-19 health crisis with "Lag: A Zoomsical," his first fully original work. Four students and an instructor steadfastly attempt to attain inner peace in an online environment beset by all the distractions and frustrations of a 'new normal.' Raven Theatre will continue its 2019-20 season with a revival of Henrik Ibsen's masterpiece A DOLL'S HOUSE, in a vibrant and progressive new adaptation making its Chicago premiere. Directed by Lauren Shouse, the new work features translation by Anne-Charlotte Hanes Harvey and adaptation by Hanes Harvey and Kirsten Brandt. A DOLL'S HOUSE will play February 6 - March 22, 2020 on Raven's 85-seat East Stage, 6157 N. Clark St. (at Granville) in Chicago.
