The cast of THE SNOW QUEEN recently flew into Fox 5 New York to heat up for The New York Musical Theater Festival (NYMF) with a performance of the musical's hit tune "Flying!" Watch the interview and performance below!

This current musical adaptation of Hans Christian Anderson's fantastical coming-of-age adventure follows Gerda's journey through an unimaginably dangerous and whimsical world with singing flowers, a chattering crow and a talking river to save her friend, Kai, you'll realize this just isn't your average bedtime story. An original pop rock score that propels a legend suffused with urban steam punk flair and the enigmatic Snow Queen, turn this traditional fairy tale into an epic quest.

Eryn Murman (Spring Awakening) the heroine Gerda with Jane Pfitsch (Cabaret) as the Snow Queen and John Michael Presney (Million Dollar Quartet National Tour) as Kai, lead the story. Rounding out the cast are Lauren Cipoletti (Princess/Robber Girl), Janice Engelgau (Flower/Ensemble), Jason Hite (The Crow/Ensemble), Summer C. Latimer (Flower/Ensemble), Lee Ann Payne (Co-Choreographer/Ensemble), and Reggie D. White (Troll/Reindeer).

Directed by Rick Lombardo with a book by Kirsten Brandt & Rick Lombardo, music by Haddon Kime, lyrics by Kirsten Brandt, Haddon Kime and Rick Lombardo, with additional music by Rick Lombardo. The production team includes Frances Nelson McSherry (costume design), David Lee Cuthbert (lighting/projection design), Haddon Kime and Rick Lombardo (sound design), Anna Ebbeson (musical director), Delores Duran-Cefalu (music supervisor) and Matthew Stern (production manager). This new musical adaptation of The Snow Queen will be presented in The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center.

The performance schedule is: Monday, July 14th at 8pm; Tuesday, July 15th at 1pm; Thursday, July 17th at 5pm; Thursday, July 17th at 9pm; Sunday, July 20th at 8pm. There will be an "Autism Friendly" performance on Saturday, July 19th at 11am.
