In anticipation of the arrival of fall and a new school year, Hoff-Barthelson Music School, Westchester's premier community music school, will hold a series of Open Houses and Information Meetings for several of its acclaimed programs.

Hoff-Barthelson Music School students will present the world premiere of Nilo Alcala's composition, “To the Others” at the culminating concert of the School's Music of Our Time Festival on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at 7:00 pm at the Community Unitarian Universalist Congregation at White Plains, 468 Rosedale Avenue, White Plains, NY.

The 2022-2023 HB Artist Faculty Performance Series concludes on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 7:30 pm with a performance of Clara Schumann’s Piano Trio in G minor, Op. 17 performed by violinist April Johnson, cellist Peter Seidenberg and pianist Tomoko Uchino as well as a selection of jazz standards, improvisations and originals performed by jazz pianist Jamie Reynolds and saxophonist Ed Palermo.

The music of Bernstein, Ellington, Foster, Sousa and more will be performed by members of Hoff-Barthelson Music School's faculty and adult jazz students during the School's Celebration of Great American Music – two free outdoor concerts at the Dine the 'Dale Tent in downtown Scarsdale.

Hoff-Barthelson Music School's Annual Contemporary Music Festival, The Music of Our Time, takes place Monday, May 9, 2022, through Sunday, May 15, 2022, and will include a world premiere commissioned by the School. Composer Juhi Bansal's “To the Night” for cello quintet will be performed at the Festival's culminating concert on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at 7:00 pm.

Hoff-Barthelson Music School has announced the addition of six extraordinary artist educators to its distinguished faculty for the 2021-22 school year, which begins September 9.

The Hart Island Suite honors a family member and all one million souls who rest on Hart Island, NYC's public cemetery, Bronx, NY, and now includes victims of COVID-19, embracing their loved ones. Hart Island sits in the Long Island Sound, east of City Island.

The award-winning JAZZ HOUSE KiDS® today announced the MONTCLAIR JAZZ FESTIVAL 2019 line-up. The Garden State's largest and favorite music festival will celebrate its 10th anniversary this summer with two jam-packed weeks from July 26 through August 10 featuring 250+ jazz musicians, 30+ musical acts, 2 marquee stages, 7 venues, and 20+ concerts and events.

Hoff-Barthelson Music School hosts a special Children's Corner Concert, Breath in Motion - Wind Instruments Come to Life!, on Friday, March 24, 2017, at 6:30 pm, at the School, 25 School Lane, Scarsdale. The concert, an introduction to the woodwind family of musical instruments for children, will feature members of the School's superb woodwind faculty performing everything from Bach to Jazz while demonstrating the full range of woodwind instruments.
