On Sunday June 13 at 3pm, Origin Theatre Company will present the 8th annual edition of its popular immersive Bloomsday celebration, renamed the “Bloomsday Revel.” the distance-safe, in-person staging mixes a juried costume contest and dramatic readings from “Ulysses” -- performed by a cast of celebrated New York-based Irish actors.

EAST TO EDINBURGH begins on Tuesday, July 9 for a limited engagement through Sunday, July 28. The performance schedule varies. Irish Repertory Theatre announced today special events and programming for the month of March as part of the The Sean O'Casey Season, a comprehensive retrospective of the work of renowned Irish playwright Sean O'Casey, celebrating 30 years of Irish Repertory Theatre.

Directed by Michael Di Jiacomo, Imperfect Love is inspired by the tumultuous life of the great Italian actress Eleonora Duse (1858-1924) and her nine-year love affair with the poet and playwright Gabriele D'Annunzio (1863-1938). The production, which is set to open on February 4, runs at The Connelly Theater and features set and costume design by the Academy Award-winning Italian designer Gianni Quaranta (Merchant-Ivory's A Room with a View). Turturro's 1998 film, Illuminata, which was co-written by Cole and Turturro, was based on Cole's Imperfect Love.

Irish Repertory Theatre announced today extensions of both of their current productions, the New York premiere of Brian Friel's THE HOME PLACE, and the world premiere of OFF THE METER, ON THE RECORD, written and performed by John McDonagh (Producer of 'Radio Free Eireann').

Directed by Charlotte Moore (Finian's Rainbow), The Home Place begins tonight, September 27, 2017, and opens on Sunday October 8, 2017 for a limited run through November 19, 2017 on the Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage at Irish Rep Theatre (132 West 22nd Street).
