Douglas Ramirez Biography
Director of Special Events at The Actors Fund. Having enjoyed performing since his first role in the second grade holiday show, Douglas has always had a passion for the arts. Most recently he served as Associate Producer for Humpday with Hampshire, a weekly virtual talk show starring Emily Hampshire of Schitt’s Creek. He has also been passionate about giving back to the community since he was in grade school. As such, he was able to harness both his passion for the arts and philanthropy when he joined The Actors Fund as Director of Special Events. He brings to The Fund over 23 years of event planning experience with 16 of those years in the non-profit sector managing, developing and executing multi-million dollar events for a variety of organizations. He has been involved in large scale national and international events, with high profile attendees and celebrities from the worlds of business, finance, fashion, and music. He has been a featured panelist at a variety of nonprofit fundraising conferences and is proud to serve on the Board of The Workshop Theater in NYC.Douglas Ramirez News

The Actors Fund announced today a 40th Anniversary reunion benefit concert of the 1979 hit Broadway production of They're Playing Our Song. The concert will be held on Monday, February 11th at 7:30 pm at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th St.) and will star the Broadway cast members Lucie Arnaz as 'Sonia Walsk' and Robert Klein as 'Vernon Gersch'.

The Actors Fund announced today a one night benefit concert of last year's planned off-Broadway revival of When Pigs Fly, that never actually got to play for an audience. The concert, which will reunite the cast members and creative team for one night only, is set for Monday, April 9th.
