Recipient of the Joseph Jefferson Award for Best New Play, Loy Webb's debut work, The Light, hits the Horizon stage from March 19th-April 17th (Press Opening March 25th). Horizon's regional premiere of The Light is an intimate, funny, and powerful look at love today in all its complexity, featuring two of Atlanta's most dynamic actors, Enoch King and Cynthia D. A Christmas Carol, Alliance Theatre's annual holiday production, returns for its 29th season, December 12 - 24, 2018 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.  The most heartwarming story of the season comes to life with holiday carols, stunning stage magic, and your favorite Atlanta actors.  Directed by Rosemary Newcott, the Sally G. Tomlinson Artistic Director of Theatre for Youth and Families, A Christmas Carol has become a tradition for many families around the southeast. 

Theatrical Outfit continues its 2018-2019 Season of Beauty with the Atlanta premiere of The Royale, playwright Marco Ramirez's stylized, blazingly theatrical look at the high stakes, segregated world of boxing at the turn of the twentieth century, loosely based on the true story of the first black world heavyweight champion, Jack Johnson. Directed by frequent Theatrical Outfit collaborator Patdro Harris (Travelin' Black, Fly, and Simply Simone), The Royale runs October 10 - November 4 downtown at The Balzer Theater at Herren's.

To celebrate the season of the heart, audiences are invited to the Aurora Theatre stage for the emotional drama, Ontario Was Here, from February 10 - March 4, 2018. This world premiere, by award-winning playwright Darren Canady, weaves an insightful look at the lives of social workers who serve disadvantaged children, unveiling the strife that these workers bear as a result of trying to help others while navigating the emotional balance between their clients' lives and their own.
