Chip Bolcik - The Writer won The Seven Festival in Albuquerque, NM; was part of Organised Chaos’ Midwinter Ignition in Manchester, UK; The Abingdon Theatre’s New Works festival in New York; The InspiraTO Festival in Toronto; The Future Ten 10-Minute Festival in Pittsburgh, and the Unchained Festival in NYC. A Rocky Relationship was performed at The Durango Lively Arts Company’s Crossroads Cafe project; M.T. Pockets Theatre’s One Act Fest, Morgantown, WV; The StoreFront Theatre’s We Like Shorts Festival in Waxhaw, NC; The Artist’s Exchange One-Act Festival in Cranston, RI. Not Enough made it’s world premiere at the Warner International Playwrights Festival, Torrington, CT. The Blizzard won best play at the Strawberry One-Act Festival, Manhattan; was an official selection of the Last Frontier Theatre Conference in Valdez, AK, and was a finalist at the Hurricane Season Festival in Los Angeles. In The Third Person and Suit Yourself each won best play at the Manhattan Rep One-Act competition in NYC. Staten Island Fairy Tale and Lovin’ The Boat each won Sundog Theatre’s Scenes from the Staten Island Ferry. Equity Library Theatre recently mounted Expecting Hamilton, as did the Caleb Reese Festival of New Plays, Phoenix, AZ. Caleb Reese also mounted Jungle Dining. The End Of Times (or How Becky Got Lucky) debuted at Manhattan Rep, and was a smash hit at LA’s Fresh Produce’d, which also mounted The Carravagio and Jungle Dining. Breaking Out Is Hard To Do was a finalist at the Strawberry One-Act Festival, where Betsy True won best director for her work on that piece. The World’s Worst Puppeteers and Jungle Dining were each official selections of the Last Frontier Theater Conference in Valdez, AK. Séance, played to SRO audiences at New Jersey’s 12 Miles West Theatre. Chip regularly writes for The Ruskin Group Theater and for InterACT, Los Angeles.
