BIO
Cary Wong writes theater and film reviews for his own review website: The Interested Bystander. He is also a columnist and reviewer (covering film scores & film and stage musicals) for Film Score Monthly Online. Cary has also written reviews for Out magazine, Metro newspaper (NY) and Metro Weekly (DC). He has served on the Lucille Lortel Awards Committee (for Off-Broadway Excellence) and the Theatre World Awards Committee (Outstanding Broadway/Off-Broadway Debut) and won a Third-Place citation in 2020 from The Los Angeles Press Club’s National Entertainment Journalism Awards for criticism. He is a member of GALECA, The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics. Cary is also a playwright.
