AJ Paug
AJ Paug is a Filipino born Georgia native raised in Acworth, GA. He started his training in dance and theatre at Woodland High School for the performing arts. AJ got his first formal training in dance at Great Gig Dance Co. under the direction of Tammy Everhart. He continued his formal dance and choreography training at Kennesaw State University under the direction of Ivan Pulinkala. AJ has been choreographing and teaching for 18 years nationally and is in high demand for his creativity and unique use of fusing both genres of contemporary and hip-hop dance. From 2011-2019 AJ choreographed citywide events and festivals for the city of Suwanee such as Suwanee Fest and The Festival of Lights. AJ founded ADMIX Project with Rachel Truitt, which is a professional contemporary company based in Atlanta, and has helped produce/ choreograph their last 7 shows with the most recent being “VISCERAL.” He is finishing a dance film with the company which is scheduled to debut spring 2022. As a Hip-Hop dancer/ choreographer he is a part of Kollective dance crew and has competed and performed in many events such as Kollaboration Atlanta and Who’s Who In Asian America. AJ has choreographed for Battle for the Brains in 2018-2022. AJ has credit in choreographing for Netflix Original Series “The Haunting of Hill House,” and Disney’s Marvel Original Series “Wanda Vision.” In video production AJ has worked with multiple production companies in Georgia as director, producer, editor, writer, and camera operator and is currently working as XCEL Studios videographer proving a platform for Atlanta dancers to expose their talents worldwide. Currently AJ is working as an adjunct professor at Kennesaw State University where he teaches Hip-Hop as a special course class and Modern I. In 2020 AJ started the production company PandaKo Media to provide quality content for the Atlanta dance community as well as various non for profit organizations such as, The Anti Defamation League, Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance, Pediatric Bran Tumor Foundation, and Edin. Recently AJ worked on Kanye West’s “Donda” listening party as an Associate Field Director at the Mercedes Benz Stadium.
