D.C. - based indie pop group Sub-Radio have released their latest single,'Dreamcatcher' today. The effervescent and bright-eyed track is a story of true appreciation and love. 'We've almost never written a straightforward 'love song,' and almost looked at it like a challenge. Big primary-color emotions are tricky to convey. Bridge Records is issuing the first complete recording of Marc Blitzstein's signature creation, the opera The Cradle Will Rock. The new recording features Blitzstein's original 1937 orchestrations and was recorded live at Opera Saratoga in July 2017. The performance features a stellar cast including Ginger Costa-Jackson as Moll; Keith Jameson as Harry Druggist; Christopher Burchett as Larry Foreman; Audrey Babcock as Mrs. Mister; and Matt Boehler as Mr. Mister.

The Howard County Arts Council announces two new exhibits in the galleries at the Howard County Center for the Arts. In Digital Disclosure: UMBC Faculty Perspectives, three UMBC art faculty members — Vin Grabill, Neal McDonald, and Steven Silberg — achieve creative expression via modern digital technologies. Grabill started out as a painter and now uses video to “paint in time”, yet keeps his attachment to the static image with digital prints related to his videos. McDonald explores the process of drawing and traditional printmaking by writing a series of computer programs that interpret photographic data into unique, generated prints. Finally, the pixel is Silberg's primary tool, which he uses to explore photography, video, and movement, one pixel at a time.

John Command (A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum) returns to the Jungle to direct URINETOWN: THE MUSICAL, the Tony-nominated satirical musical comedy. Described as one of the most uproariously funny musicals in recent years, Urinetown is a mocking tale of greed, corruption, love and revolution in a time when water is worth its weight in gold. Starring Bradley Greenwald (as Officer Lockstock) and boasting the largest cast ever assembled on the Jungle stage (20+ actors and musicians), Urinetown will open June 7 and run through August 11, 2013.
