The Paper Bear is a feature-length film and conservation initiative making its debut at the 2025 Florida Film Festival. Combining live-action wilderness footage with 2D animation, it follows a father and son on their quest to find the Florida black bear, featuring rare close-ups of these animals in their natural habitat. Directed by Arix Zalace, the film not only entertains but also aims to raise awareness about the biodiversity of Northwest Florida. In addition to screenings, the team will host a panel discussion titled "The Birds and the Bears" to explore the impact of storytelling on conservation efforts.
