Blood at the Root at UNO Theatre

As part of its ongoing Connection Series, UNO Theatre collaborates with Omahas Union for Contemporary Art to create inspiring theatre that fosters dialogue in the community. A creative team from both organizations recounts the story of the Jena Sixa group of Black students who were initially charged with attempted murder for a school fight after being provoked with nooses hanging from a tree on campus. Join us for a theatrical conversation about justice, racial double standards, and a crisis in relations between men and women of all classes.
