Ryan Armistead-Lee is making his Hollywood debut in A Twisted Bargain. Ryan is a trained
actor with experience in front of the camera and on stage. He received his training through
Page Parkes Center Of Modeling And Acting in Houston before making his move to Los Angeles.
He is currently represented by The Firm LA Model & Talent. Ryan would like to thank his
Director, Michael Mizerany, for allowing him to bring Michael Franklin to life. Ryan is grateful to
his husband Harwood for his love and support as well as his friends and family and his team at
The Firm LA Model & Talent.
Tony Ayala
Xander Roberts
Anthony Ayala is a 25-year-old Chicano musician, writer, and actor. He originally got into acting
at age 17. He later went on to win the top 3 monologues in the nation at the International
Thespian Festival. But eventually moved toward screenwriting and playwriting earning him a
finalist spot at the Red Bull Theater’s Short New Play Festival, an official selection at the
Orlando Horror Film Festival, as well as an award from the City of Norwalk for artistic merit.
He earned a degree in Playwriting from California State University Fullerton. On the side of his
studies, he enjoyed performances at smaller black box venues, playing such characters as
Hamlet, and the Gentleman Caller in “The Glass Menagerie.” As well as main stage
performances such as Victor Frankenstein in “Frankenstein,” and Giovanni in “Tis Pity She’s a
Whore.”
He is currently a teacher, in addition to being a content creator for Jackalope Studios. He is
obsessed with boxing, bad public access television, The Cramps, and Joyce Carol Oates. He is
also hesitant to write bios because he’s very self-conscious talking about himself. But he didn’t
do too bad at writing this, right?

Michael has been nominated for the Craig Noel Award for Outstanding Choreography for Dooley, Altar Boyz, Spring Awakening, Bare: A Pop Opera and Voyeurs De Venus and has won the LA Stage Scene Award for Outstanding Choreography four times for Altar Boyz, Bare: A Pop Opera, A New Brain and Shockheaded Peter. Most recently, Michael was nominated for 3 Aubrey Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Choreography for Green Day’s American Idiot, Heathers: The Musical and Scrooge in Rouge, winning for his propulsive and high energy dances for Green Day’s American Idiot.
Playwright: Michael’s first full-length play, The Big D, was produced and directed by Ronnie Larson and ran for 4 sold outs weeks at The Abyss Theatre in Fort Lauderdale. His second full-length play, Wally & His Lover Boys, premiered at Diversionary Black Box to great critical success. Recently, Michael premiered his third full-length play, Marry Me, Dennis Branigan at The Tenth Avenue Arts Center. This new romantic comedy won the San Diego Broadway World Award for Most Anticipated Production of a New Play. Most recently, Michael premiered the first play in his Thrillogy Series, A TWISTED BARGAIN, at The Tenth Avenue Arts Center in April. In November, The Ringwald Theater in Detroit will produce a reading of Marry Me, Dennis Branigan.
Jared Jacobs
Lighting Designer
Jared Jacobs is San Diego based, mostly recently designing Hands on a Hardbody (Coronado Playhouse), Love Song (Scripps Ranch Theatre), A Twisted Bargain (Compulsion Dance & Theatre), and The Rocky Horror Show (OB Playhouse & Theatre Company). Specializing in musical theater, plays, and other custom lighting projects, he originally began designing at a young age in Maine. Jared later joined the Marines where he was stationed in San Diego and began to work with many theaters in the community. When he isn’t working on lighting design he enjoys surfing, working in IT, and riding the trolley.
