In this darkly funny solo play, a young gay New Yorker navigates art, ambition, and alcoholism as he falls into a ten-year relationship with a brilliant fashion designer. At the piano, he revisits the love that sustained him, nearly undid him, and demanded a reckoning with sobriety.

About the writer/performer: 

David Beck is a New York–based actor whose screen work includes the Emmy-nominated Fleishman Is in Trouble (ABCS/FX), History Channel’s The Food That Built America, and the feature film Regarding Us (streaming on Paramount+), which he also co-write and co-directed.

On stage, some highlights include Red (Schoolhouse Theatre, Broadway World Award for Best Featured Actor), Touch of the Poet (Irish Rep, Outer Critics Circle Award nomination for Best Revival), On a Bench (59E59),Hamlet (Mirror Rep), and The More Loving One (La Mama, SoHo Playhouse).
