London, January 5th, 1941. The twelfth night of Christmas. With their theater reduced to rubble, a troupe of actors defy the London Blitz to stage Shakespeare's beloved comedy in an effort to boost the spirits of their community.
Inspired by incredible true events, this is a story about the irresistible human need to gather, tell stories, and choose joy in the face of mortality.
Living Room Productions NYC will present a staged reading of TWELFTH NIGHT: 1941, a world-premiere play inspired by actors who performed Shakespeare during the London Blitz, at El Barrio's Artspace in New York.
Living Room Productions and the Shakespeare Forum will present a free staged reading of Twelfth Night: 1941, a new work set during the London Blitz, at El Barrio Artspace in New York City.
