The Merchant of Venice at Trinity Theatre

Stag & Lion Theatre Company presents Shakespeare's controversial comedy "The Merchant of Venice." Considered one of Shakespeare's "problem plays" the feeling of the play varies from romantic to comedic to tragic. The plot revolves around a young lover who convinces his patron to borrow money for a conquest of love but at what cost? We at Stag & Lion strive to bring an old world style of acting to our modern world. Join us under the amber light of our halcyon bulbs as we traverse our wooden stage and play this 400 year old script. Starring Miss Claire Tyers (Television's "Search Party") as Portia, Dr. Anuj Parikh as Antonio, Mr. Nick Disla as Bassanio, and Mr. Joshua Koehn as Shylock.  Cast includes: Mr. John Lichtwalt, Mr. Henry Temple, Mr. Linus Gelber, Mr. Devon Romero, Miss Natasha Partnoy, Mr. Brian Jennings, Mr. Aryan Bhattacharjee, Miss Rachel Perrie, Mr. Abhishek Ojha, Mr. William English, Mr. Nicholas de Phares, Mr. Matthew DeCostanza, Mr. Kirby Darius, and Mr. Charlie MacAndrew.
